Commander
The Commander oversees personnel at various locations on the funding
and strategy development process as it relates to Personnel Recovery
(PR). He is responsible for coordinating and directing all Personnel
Recovery activities with Geographic Commanders, Service Chiefs,
and other governmental Agencies as well as multiple Cabinet offices.
The Commander is responsible for the development, implementation,
and management of all program mission areas in support of PR operations
worldwide. He is responsible for advising COCOMs, Joint Staff, and
Senior Leaders on repatriation, reintegration, operational POW/MIA
issues, code of conduct, Combat Search and Rescue, and other PR-related
issues.
Deputy
Commander
Deputy to the Commander of the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency
(JPRA) is the priniciple advisor to the Commander and his designated
representative responisble for acting as the Commander when needed.
The Deputy Commander is authorized to act on behalf of the Commander
for all issues, save matters involving the UCMJ. The Deputy Commander
also Serves as the IG for all JPRA personnel.
Senior
Enlisted Leader
The JPRA Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) is the principal advisor
to the commander for all enlisted matters, SSERE training and
SERE policy issues for the DoD. As a member of the Utilization
and Training Workshop he/she guides the sERE career field education
and training plan. He/She conducts Staff Assistance visits providing
expertise and support for Service SRE Training Schools. The SEL
serves as the agency's Enlisted Career Advisor.
Chief
of Staff
The JPRA Chief of Staff (CoS) directs, coordinates and monitors
all staffing actions for the agency. He/she is responsible for
the smooth and efficient functioning of the JPRA staff in their
day-to-day interactions across the Agency (between and among Directorates)
and with USJFCOM. He/she is responsible for the format and adequacy
of the response for all actions leaving the Agency. As required,
the CoS develops presentations, background papers, and works special
projects as directed by the commander or deputy commander.
