1952: USAF designated Executive Agent (EA) for Escape & Evasion activities

1980: SECAF appointed EA for Code of Conduct Training

1991: Joint Services SERE Agency (JSSA) activated and appointed EA for operational POW/MIA Matters

1994: JSSA appointed Joint Staff (JS) focal point for Personnel Recovery (PR)

1996: USAF appointed EA for Joint Combat Search and Rescue (JCSAR); USAF activated JCSAR Agency (JCSARA) under Air Combat Command

1999: CDRUSJFCOM appointed DoD EA for PR; JSSA and JCSARA combined to form JPRA; JPRA appointed DoD OPR for PR

2011: JPRA transitions the Joint Staff/J7 after the disestablishment of USJFCOM
