Strategic
Goals
- Improve
War Fighters’ Personnel Recovery capabilities through Education
& Training, Operations Support, Analysis, and Technology.
- Provide
recognized and acknowledged Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to
advocate Personnel Recovery Issues across the Department of Defense.
- Build
Partnerships to enhance Personnel Recovery capabilities and to
meet US Government objectives
Strategic
Objectives
- Provide
effective Joint Personnel Recovery commanders and staff education
and Isolated Persons training (curricula, standards, research,
certification, etc.) for the Combatant Commanders (CCDRs), Services,
and Interagency.
- Influence
CCDRs’ and Services’ activities in order to improve
their strategic and operational Personnel Recovery results.
- Analyze
and assess Services’ and CCDRs’ capabilities and provide
“Capabilities Improvement Plans” to address shortfalls.
- Propose
integrated and interoperable Joint Personnel Recovery capability
requirements into the Services’ Modernization programs.
- Ensure
the Department of Defense’s leadership is knowledgeable
regarding the status of Personnel Recovery, including both Policy
and Operational issues.
- Expand
Personnel Recovery engagement activities with the CCDRs and Services,
ensuring that Personnel Recovery is an effectively integrated
and integral part of their activities.
- Coordinate
Personnel Recovery doctrinal, policy, operational, and training
issues on behalf of the Department of Defense’s Personnel
Recovery Executive Agent.
- Ensure
Departmental leaders and their designated functionals are exposed
to the importance of Personnel Recovery and how it relates to
the accomplishment of their mission.
- Coherently
integrate the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency with Other Government
Agencies and Multinational Partners in preparing, planning, and
implementing Personnel Recovery.
- Ensure
that US Government policy and doctrine provide useful, unambiguous
focus and guidance for Personnel Recovery.
